Mitzi on…My Lovely Sam-soon Episode 15

After the end of the last episode, I’m dying to know how Sam-soon handles the situation.  There better be some yelling or I will be most seriously displeased!

Cast:

  • Kim Suna as Kim Sam-soon
  • Hyun Bin as Hyun Jin-heon
  • Jeong Ryeo-won as Yoo Hee-jin
  • Daniel Henney as Dr. Henry Kim (Dr. Hotpants)
  • Kim Ja Ok as Park Bong-Sook – Sam-soon’s mom
  • Lee Ah-hyun as Kim Yi-Young – Sam-soon’s sister
  • Na Moon-hee as Na Hyun-Sook – Jin-heon’s mom
  • Suh Ji Hee as Hyun Mi-joo – Jin-heon’s niece
  • Yoon Ye-hee as Yoon Hyun-sook – Jin-heon’s “aunt”
  • Lee Kyu-han as Min Hyun-woo – Sam-soon’s ex
  • Lee Yoon-mi as Jang Chae-Ri

So, we left off where Sam-soon sees her boyfriend (even after they exchanged rings and did drunk karaoke with her mother, for crying out loud!) getting of an elevator with his arm around his ex-girlfriend.

She’s awfully quiet.  He tells her to wait in the hallway while he walks Hee-jin into his apartment. Honestly, at this point, I would have left.  But that’s just me.  Sam-soon is far more curious and probably a lot nicer than me so she sticks around.  In fact, she barges into his apartment.  If Hee-jin is ill, then she will stay the night too and help take care of her.  (Where is the yelling? Where is the screaming?!)

All three get into an argument. Hee-jin is really uncomfortable and says she will leave.  Sam-soon says she will cook food for Hee-jin.  Jin-heon is at a loss for words. Ultimately, Sam-soon is the one to leave and Hee-jin stays behind. DOH!

At home, Sam-soon is sad, I’m sure she feels like she just lost her boyfriend to Hee-jin again.  However, her phone rings and  its Jin-heon. He thanks her for being understanding and then they share a mushy moment that isn’t even worth repeating.  Suddenly, Sam-soon is on cloud 9 again.  (really?  that’s all it takes?)

The next morning Sam-soon wakes up early and prepares a breakfast to take over to Hee-jin who stayed at Jin-heon’s. When she gets there, Jin-heon tells her that Hee-jin left sometime during the night.

Sam-soon heads over to Hee-jin’s place and see’s its mostly packed up.  (maybe I’ve forgotten to mention a major plot development here, but let me rectify that.  Hee-jin decided to head back to the US and asked Jin-Heon to take her back. He agrees)

Sam-soon and Hee-jin get into a verbal match before they start throwing punches at each other. They really don’t like each other.  Before the fight can get too out of control, Dr. Hotpants comes in and tells them to knock it off.  Both women look like children caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

Sam-soon spends the rest of the day with Hee-jin and Dr. Hotpants to make sure Hee-jin is doing better.

To make things up to Sam-soon, Jin-heon takes her and his niece to the aquarium where they spend a fun filled day together.  Later that night, after they put the niece to bed, Sam-soon and Jin-heon get into a huge fight over him accompanying Hee-jin to the US.  Sam-soon doesn’t understand why he needs to go when Dr. Hotpants will also be going.  But Jin-heon, in his own way, still cares for Hee-jin and wants to make sure she’s alright.  The fighting is loud enough to wake the niece who is crying and yelling at her uncle (first words she’s spoken all film!)  She hates him and wants them to stop fighting.

Sam-soon is almost guilted into letting him go. He assures her he will only be gone one week.

Sam-soon and her sister are finally getting things together for their little bakery AND the time has finally come for Sam-soon to finalize her name change.

Once at the state office, she realizes that her name is special, and so is she (through some convoluted way that involves Jin-heon but I prefer to believe she’s gaining more confidence in herself)  so she tears up the name request form and bids adios to Kim Hee-jin.

As she leaves the state office, we learn that the week Jin-heon was supposed to be gone, came and went.  And HE NEVER CAME BACK!

*headdesk*    I give up on this kdrama.  lol.
