After episode 2 I’m dying to get into these episodes. Thankfully I’m able to watch both in one sitting unlike yesterday’s massive day of distraction.
- Kim Suna as Kim Sam-soon
- Hyun Bin as Hyun Jin-heon

- Lee Ah-hyun as Kim Yi-Young – Sam-soon’s sister
- Na Moon-hee as Na Hyun-Sook – Jin-heon’s mom
- Suh Ji Hee as Hyun Mi-joo – Jin-heon’s niece
- Yoon Ye-hee as Yoon Hyun-sook – Jin-heon’s “aunt”
- Lee Kyu-han as Min Hyun-woo – Sam-soon’s ex
- Lee Yoon-mi as Jang Chae-Ri
Episode 3 was somewhat uneventful for me. They made a contract for their fake relationship. She borrows 50K from him to save her mother’s house. She meets his family. I guess only thing that stood out for me was Jin-heon’s unwillingness to play “Over the Rainbow”. He got pissy about it. Really pissy. The kind of pissy that makes you take notice and wonder about an anger problem. And I guess it’s something we’re supposed to take note of because…
Episode 4: Once Jin-heon hears that his exgirlfriend has come back to town his demeanor changes. He yells at Sam soon for asking if his ex is the reason he doesn’t want to play “Over the Rainbow” and when she tells him not to yell at her, he puts his fist through a pane of glass in a fit of rage toward Sam Soon. The shock is great in both to Sam Soon and myself. Just…whoa. So interesting how this drama went from light and playful to dark and serious in an instant.
I am so anxious to see how this gets resolved…if it can be…
looks like its kinda just brushed under the rug. disappointing.
Whoa, what? Jin-heon goes in for a fake-out kiss?! Too soon, son! Too soon!
Oh, but I guess it’s all ok because Sam Soon’s having heart beats for him. Oy vey. Too soon to say the show has jumped the shark? lol
They do try to re-humanize him with a late night phone call with his mute niece in which he sings to her. Sweet, but still…
OH OH OH! WAIT! At least Jin-heon stops a man from hitting his wife in the middle of his restaurant. I’m starting to feel a little better now. Like I can almost like the show again.
“You let him go? You should have broken his legs.” ~ Woman who caught her husband cheating on her speaking with Sam Soon about the x-mas break up.
I really do like how Sam Soon rationalizes bad relationships. Once the heart goes, its difficult to hold on to it. Better just to let that person go and find someone who does want to be with you. #truth
Oh snap! Jin-heon is convinced to play “Over the Rainbow” for a customer and as he’s playing his ex walks in. The look in everyone’s eyes says something crazy is about to go down. oooOOOOoooooh! My interest is piqued.
Well, that was anti-climatic. Just a chat. Jin-heon is angry and his ex is crying. And then that’s it. And now he’s getting drunk in a bar.
Oh, he just passed out and knocked Sam Soon out of her chair.
Hopefully later episodes will cut back on the seriously serious stuff. That punch totally harshed my mellow.
With that I say good day, sir. I said good day!
